Councilmember Neils introduced the following Resolution and moved its
adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 82-319
AUTHORIZING PARTICIPATION IN FEDERAL 1980 CENSUS NEIGHBORHOOD STATISTICS PROGRAM
(NSP)
WHEREAS, the City has received information from the Director of the Bureau of the
Census regarding the 1980 Census Neighborhood Statistics Program; and
WHEREAS, the analysis of City defined neighborhoods based upon the 1980 Census •
data will enhance the City's Comprehensive Plan data base through a more meaning-
ful application of the 1980 Census data;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA, that it should and hereby does authorize the Mayor and City Manager to
participate in the Neighborhood Statistics Program as offered by the Bureau of the
Census, utilizing the Comprehensive Plan Community Structure Concept of Driving
and Walking Neighborhoods as the basis for defining study areas.
The motion for adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by
Councilmember Moen , and upon vote being taken thereon. the oowi'ng
