Councilmember Moen introduced the following Resolution and
moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 82-305
RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID
1982 SEAL COAT PROGRAM
WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the 1982 Seal Coat Program;
and
WHEREAS, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the
following bids were received complying with the advertisement:
Company Total Bid
Northern Asphalt Construction $155,880.56
Allied Blacktop Co. 158,752.04
Bituminous Roadways, Inc. 179,262.00
Blacktop Service Co. 184,185.18
AND, WHEREAS, it appears that Northern Asphalt Construction is the lowest
responsible bidder;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH:
1. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into
the attached contract with Northern Asphalt Construction in the name
of the City of Plymouth for the 1982 Seal Coat Program in the amount
of $155,880.56.
2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith
to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the
deposits of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be
retained until a contract has been signed.
