HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1982-216Councilmember-Moen introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 82-216 ORDERING PREPARATION OF PRELIMINARY REPORT HUMPHREY ESTATES ADDITION STREET AND UTILITIES PROJECT NO. 231 WHEREAS, the developer of Humphrey estates Addition has petitioned the City to install 7 -ton bitumirous street with concrete curb and gutter, drainage facilities, sanitary sewer, watermain and all necessary appurtenances; and WHEREAS, property benefited by such projects will be assessed for all or a portion of the cost of such improvements pursuant to Minnesota Statutes 429.011 to 429.111 (Laws 1953, Chapter 398, as amended). NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA that the proposed improvements be referred to Bonestroo, Rosene, Anderiik & Associates for study and that the engineers be instructed to report to the City Council with all convenient speed by advising the Council, in a preliminary way, as to whether the proposed improvement is feasible and as to whether it should be best made as proposed or in connection with some other improvement, and the estimated cost of such an improvement as recommended. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED , that the developer is responsible for the rough grading, which must be completed before the City will award any contracts for public improvements. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the report shall include the necessary improvement on 6th Avenue from Pineview Lane westerly to the existing paving on 6th Avenue. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember_Schngider , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Ma or Davenport, Gouncilmembers Moen, Neils, the foilowing voted against or abstained: -. none Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
