Mayor Da-venport_ introduced the following Resolution and moved its
adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 82-207
I-394/U.S. 12. UPGRADING
SUPPORT OF PROSECT
CITY OF PLYMOUTH
WHEREAS, during the past 10 years numerous studies have been conducted to determine
the need for upgrading of T.H. 12 west of Minneapolis; and
WHEREAS, various alternatives have been considered with respect to this portion of
the Metropolitan Transportation System; dnd

WHEREAS P' l City of Plymouth's "Thoroughfare Guide Plan" is predicated on the
improvement of T.H. 12 to interstate standards; and
WHEREAS, the proposed project consists of upgrading existinq T.H. 12 to a six lane,
controlled access freeway, between T.H. 101/C.R. 15 in Wayzata and I-94 In Minnea-
polis; and
WHEREAS, without the proposed upgradinq of this vital link in the Metropolitan Trans-
portation System other existing roadways will be greatly affected;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Plymouth,
Minnesota, that the City of Plymouth supports the upgradinq of U.S. 12/I-394 as con-
tained in the draft "Environmental Impact Statement" dated March 19, 1982.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this resolution be submitted as part of our continuinq
support for this proje.:t and for inclusion in the hearinq record for the draft
Environmental Impact Statement.
The notion for adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by
OL `Cowicilmsnber Moen , and upon vote being taken thereon, the
following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Davenport, Councilmembers Moen, Schneider

Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly pasiffidnO adopted.
