HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1982-185CITY OF PLYMOUTH IDPursuant to due call and notice thereof, a �9ular meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 19th day of April , 1982. The following members were present:Ma.Yor Davenport, and Thrpinen The following members were A sent: ounci mem er oy Councilmember Schneider introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: 82-185 RESOLUTION NO, ADOPTING ASSESSMENT SANITARY SEWER AND WATERMAIN - TRENTON PLACE FIRST ADDITION - PROSECT 229 WHEREAS, in conformance with the development contract, we have received a waviver of assessment hearing from the property owner of Trenton Plce First Addition waiving their right to special assessment hearings covering the instal- lation of sanitary sewer trunk facilities, water trunk facilities and all other appurtenances; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: 1. Such proposed assessment, a copy of hereof, is hereby accepted and shall against the lands named therein and hereby bound to be benefited by the the assessment levied against it. Such assessment shall be payable in equal annual installments expendinq over a period of 5 years, the first of the installments to be payable on or before the first Monday in January 1993 and shall bear interest at the rate of 10.54% per annum from the date of adoption of this assessment resolution. To the first installment shall he added interest on the entire assessment from the date of this resolution until December 31, 1983. To each subsequent installment, when due shall he added interest of one year on all unpaid installments. 3. The owner of any property so assessed may, at any time prior to certifica- tion of the assessment to the County Finance Director, pay the whole of the assessment on such property with interest accrued to the date of payment to the City Treasurer, except that no interest shall be charged if the entire assessment is paid within thirty days from the adoption of this resolution; and he may, at any time thereafter, pay to the City Finance Director the entire amount of the assessment remaining unpaid with interest accrued to December 31 of the year in which the payment is made. 4. The Clerk shall forthwith transmit a certified duplicate of this assessment to the County Finance Director to be expended on the proper tax lists of the County and such assessments shall be collected and paid over in the same manner as other municipal taxes. 5. The total cost of the improvement assessed by this resolution is $100,032.90 The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by 10 Councilmember Moen , and upon vote being taken thereon the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Davenport, Councilmembers N?oen, Schneider and Threinen the tollowing voted against or abstained: none Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. www � tf�
