The following members were present: MayorDavenport, ouncilmemberss Hoyt.Moen and Schneider The following members were absent: Councilmember Threinen •tt tt. t+� Councilmember Moen introduced the following Resolution and moved its adopt on: RESOLUTION NO. 82-173 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR AND CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE "PLAN BULLDOZER" DISASTER RELIEF CONTRACT WITH THE ASSOCIATED GENERAL CONTRACTORS OF MINNESOTA IN THE EVENT OF AN EMERGENCY OR NATURAL DISASTER. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Plymouth has directed the oreparation of an emergency preparedness plan dealing with natural and man-made disasters; and WHEREAS, in the event of natural disasters it is desirable to have construction equipment readily available to minimize property damaqe and for clean-up purposes: and WHEREAS, "Plan Bulldozer" sponsored by the Associated General Contractors of Minnesota seeks to provide a means whereby construction equipment is readily available to local civil defense agencies in the event os natural disaster: and WHEREAS, the City Council believes the plan to be worthwhile and essential to the Implementation of the City's Emergency Preparedness Plan; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota, that it should and hereby does direct that the Mayor and City Manager on behalf of the City of Plymouth be authorized and directed to execute a disaster relief contract with the Associated General Contractors of Minnesota as such time as the Mayor and City Manager shall deem appropriate or at such time as an emergency or disaster occurs. The notion for adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Co�ncilm-mber Hoyt , and upon vote being taken thereon, the fo lowing voted in ravor thereof: Maor Davenport.
