HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1982-172CI7Y OF PLYKM rollocilWember Moen introduced the following Resolution and roved its tion: RESOLUTION NO. 82-172 APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS 1982 STREET SURFACING PROGRAM WHEREAS, pursuant to resolutions passed by the Council as follows: 1. Project No. 915 - 45th Avenue Resolution No. 81-33; January 19, 1981 2. Project No. 101 - 10th Avenue (Carlson Companies 2nd Addition) Resolution No. 80-898; December 15, 1980 3. Project No. 104 - 19th Avenue (Oakdale West Addition) Resolution No. 81-34; January 19, 1981 4. Project No. 112 - Lost Lake Woods Addition Resolution No. 81-86; February 2, 1981 5. Project No. 117 - Pilgrim Lane from 26th Avenue to Nathan Lane Resolution No. 81-399; July 7, 1981 6. Project No. 204 - Glacier Lane Resolution No. 82-38; January 18, 1982 7. Project No. 206 - Nathan Lane from 45th Avenue to Hamel Road Resolution No. 82-39; January 18, 1982 8. Project No. 014 - 46th Avenue (Amhurst 3rd Addition) Resolution No. 82-89; February 22, 1982 the City's consulting engineer, Bonestroo, Rosene, Anderlik & Associates, Inc., has prepared plans and specifications for bituminous street, concrete curb and gutter and all necessary appurtenances; and WHEREAS, the consulting engineer has presented such plans and specifications to the Council for approval; Resolution No. 82-172 Page 2 iNOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: 1. Such plans and specifications, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, are hereby approved. 2. The City Clerk shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official paper and in The Construction Bulletin an advertisement for bids upon the makinq of such improvement under such approved plans and specifications. The advertise- ment shall be published for three days, shall specify the work to be done, shall state that bids will be received by the Clerk until 10:00 a.m., Friday, May 7, 1982, at which time they will be publicly opened in the Plymouth City Center at 3400 Plymouth Blvd., Plymouth, Minnesota by the City Manager and that no bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the Clerk and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond or certified check payable to the Clerk for five percent (5%) of the amount of such bid. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Hoyt , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Davenport, Councilmembers Hoyt, Moen and Schneider The following voted against or abstained: none Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
