HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1982-147CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular. meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota, was held on the 15th day of March . 1982, The following ambers were present:—Acting Mayor Schneider, Counci mem ers Hoyt, -- Moon And ThrPinPn the rollowing members were ausent.Mayor Davenport Councilmember Moen introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 82-147 APPROVING NAMES FOR LAKE AND WATER BASINS IN THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH FOR HENNEPIN COUNTY PROTECTED WATER INVENTORY WHEREAS, the Department of Natural Resources has the responsibility of identifyinq certain water bodies; and WHEREAS, the Department of Natural Resources in a letter dated December 7, 1991, has set forth the procedures of the Department with respect to establishinq andd amending names for such water bodies as part of the Hennepin County Protected Water Inventory 10 process; and WHEREAS, there are several such water bodies and basins in the City which are incorrectly named or are unnamed; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Plymouth, that the "ommissioner of the Department of Natural Resources be requested to confirm the lake names for the following water bodies in the City of Plymouth, Hennepin County, including the corrections and additions as noted: Lake Names Identification No. Gleason 27-95 Bass 27-98 Mud 27-99 Pomerleau 27-100 Turtle 27-101 Schmidt 27-102 (1) Lost 2.7-103 Medicine 27-104 Parkers 27-107 Snyder 27-108 Hadley 27-109 Wobeqon 27-110 (2) Pike 27-111 Moonev 27_134 K reatz ( 3 ) Curtis (4) Hidden (5) Resolution No. 82-147 Page Two • Explantory Notes (1) Name correction; some maps refer to "Smith Lake." (2) Named on city maps for some years. (3) In Sections 29/30, east of Snyder Lake; previously numbered the same as Snyder Lake. (4) In Section 10, east of I-494; named on city maps for some years. (5) In Sections 26/35, southwest of Medicine Lake, south of Minnesota Western railroad tracks; named on city maps for some years. The motion for adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by .
