iPursuant to due call and notice thereof, a special meeting of the City Oouncil of
the City of Plymouth, Minnesota, was held on the 22nd day of February . 19 82,
The following members were present: Mayor Davenport, Councilmembers Moen Schneider
and Threinen
The following members were absent: Councilmember Hoyt — -
Councilmember Schneider introduced the following Resolution and moved its
adoption:
RESOLYrICN NO. 82- 113
A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE PLYMOUTH PARK SYSTEM PLAN
DATED FEBRUARY 22, 1982
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Land Planning Act requires that the City prepare a
comprehensive plan including a park system plan element; and
WHEREAS, the City Council believes that the Comprehensive Plan, inclining the
. Park System Chapter, represents an effective tool for long range community
planning; and
MiEREAS, the firm of Brauer & Associates has prepared a Park System Plan; and
WHEREAS, the Plymouth Park and Recreation Advisory Commission has conducted
numerous public information meetings and one public hearing on this subject;
and
WHEREAS, following such public meetings and hearings, the Park and Recreation
Advisory Commission has recommended approval of said Plan by the City Council;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Plymouth, Minnesota, that it should and hereby does adopt the Plymouth Park
System Plan dated February 22, 1982 as prepared by Brauer & Associates and
including amendments referred to in the City Manager's memorandum of February
16, 1982; and
FURTHER, the staff is hereby directed to effectuate appropriate distribution
of this document for inclusion into the City's Comprehensive Plan documents.
The motion for adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly recorded by
