Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a s cial meeting of the City Council
of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota, was held on a 22nd day of February

Councilmember Schneider introduced the following Resolution and moved its
adoption:
Resolution No. 82-111
Approving the Reserve for Encumbrances for the Year 1981
WHEREAS, it is good accounting procedure to include outstanding encumbrances at
year end as current year expenditures, and
WHEREAS, these encumbrances represent ordinary purchases for which purchase orders •
have been issued or contemplated being issued relative to the 1981 budget, and
WHEREAS, the City has a legal responsibility to fund all known encumbrances, and
WHEREAS, the reserve for encumbrances totaled $117,337.51 as of December 31, 1981, and
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to act in a prudent and responsible manner,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA
that the reserve for encumbrances in the amount of $117,337.51 is approved.
The motion for adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconced by
Councilmember Moen , and upon vote being taken thereon, the o ow ng
