Councilmember Schneider introduced the following Resolution and
moved is adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 81- 767
CONFIRMING REVIEW OF PRELIMINARY SHORELAND MANAGEMENT CLASSIFICATION LIST
OF PUBLIC WATERS AND RECOMMENDING AMENDMENT OF TURTLE LAKE DESIGNATION
WHEREAS, the City has received a preliminary Shoreland Management classification
list of public waters in the City from the Department of Natural Resources
pursuant to the "Statewide Standards and Criteria for the Mangagement
of 'Municipal Shoreland Areas of Minnesota" and
WHEREAS, the preliminary list has been reviewed in terms of the State
adopted classification criteria and City plans; and,
WHEREAS, it has been determined that approved development in the vicinity
of Turtle Lake since the preliminary classification list was established
warrants a redesignation of Turtle Lake from natural environment to
recreational development, per the classification criteria;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that it should and hereby does confirm the review
of the Preliminary Shoreland Management Classification List for Public
Waters in the City as submitted by the Department of Natural Resources and
recommends that the designation of Turtle Lake (identification number 27-101)
be changed from natural environment to recreational development in consideration
of approved development which has commenced since the preliminary liast was
established.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by
Councilmember Neils , and upon vote being taken then, the
