Councilmember Hoyt introduced the following Resolution and
moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 81- 750
A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE EXPENDITURE OF FUNDS FOR
CERTAIN SAFETY IMPROVEMENTS AT COUNTY ROAD 6 AND STATE HIGHWAY 101
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has recommended certain safety improvements to County
Road 6 and State Highway 101; and
WHEREAS, said improvements consist of restriping the pedestrian crosswalk and
installation of advanced warning lights on a,timer at each leg of the intersection;
and
WHEREAS, the State Department of Transportation has approved said installation
and similar approval is anticipated from the County; and
WHEREAS, the Council perceives a need for such pedestrian safety improvements;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Plymouth,
that it should and hereby does direct the City Manager to proceed with the
installation of said intersection safety improvements, and further allocates an
amount not to exceed $5,000 from the Municipal State Aid Fund 402-402 for this
purpose.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by
Councilmember Threinen and upon vote being taken thereon, the
following vote n favor thereof; Mayor Davenport. Councilmembers Hoyt_
