DEFERRING PRELIMINARY PLAT APPROVAL FOR DEKOCO COMPANY (81045)
WHEREAS, Dekoco Company has requested approval of a preliminary plat and
variances for four lots located in the northwest quadrant of County Road 9
and County Road 18; and,
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission considered the request at a duly called
Public Hearing; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council reviewed the petition at its meeting dnd determined
that requested variances could be substantially reduced and/or eliminated
with a more unified and cohesive dev?'orinent design consistent with the
Ordinance intention for the B -c (shopping center business) District which
includes the subject property;
NOW. THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that it should and hereby does defer action on the
request by Dekoco Company for preliminary plat approval, with direction to
the petitioner that the preliminary plat and General Development Plan should
provide a more unified and cohesive development; no approval of variances
for site development is intended or implied; such approval, if any, shall
be considered with subsequent site plan sutanission. The petitioner should
also consider the feasibility of combined development with adjacent commercial
property owners;
FURTHER, amended preliminary plat and General Development Plan submittal shall
be reviewed by the Planning Commission.
