Councilmember Neils introduced the following Resolution and
moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 81-600
APPROVING A CONTRACT AGREEMENT WITH THE DEPARTMENT
OF NATURAL RESOURCES
WHEREAS, the State of Minnesota through the Commissioer of Natural Resources,
intends to conduct investigations and enforcement on certain lands and waters
pursuant to law, and
WHEREAS, the Luce Line Trail is identified as property under the control and
ownership of the Department of Natural Resources, and
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth through its Police Department shall enforce all
laws, rules and ordinances relating to state and local recreational trail
usage, and
WHEREAS, said enforcement and investigation will take place on that portion of
the Luce Line Trail in Plymouth, and
WHEREAS, the Department of Natural Resources agrees to reimburse the City of
Plyn-outh at the rate of $16 per hour with a $1200 maximum total charge for
pro-viding police service on the Luce Line Trail in Plymouth;
NO1,i,-THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Plymo, h, Minnesota, that the Contract Agreement between the City of Plymouth
and the Department of Natural Resources be adopted.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by
Councilmember Ho t , and upon vote being taken thereon, the
0 ow ng voted in favor thereo :Mayor Davenport, Councilmembers Hoyt,
Neils Schneider and Threinen
The following voted against orabstained: n one
Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
