Pursuant to due call and notice thereof. a ire alaar meeting of
the City Council of the City of Plymouth,innM' esota was held on the
17th day of August , 19 81 . The following members were

Mayor Davenport introduced the following Resolution and
move is adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 81-524
SUPPORTING RETENTION OF WAYZATA BRANCH LIBRARY
WHEREAS, contingency budgeting by Hennepin County suggests the possible
closing of the Wayzata Library; and
WHEREAS, the Wayzata Library is listed 54th of 58 possible areas for
budgetary reductions, indicating its relative value to County residents;
WHEREAS, the citizens of the greater Plymouth -Wayzata area have relied upon
the Wayzata Library for convenient use;
NOW, 'HEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Plymouth City Council requests the
Hennepin County Library Board and Board of Commissioners to retain facilities
such as the Wayzata Library which so effectively serves the need of Plymouth -
Wayzata area residents.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by
and upon vote being taken thereon, the
