HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1981-506CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a Regular meeting the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the A f of IJth ay o August , 19_ILI_. The following memhers were Councilmember Schneider introduced the Following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 81- 506 TERMIr4TING EXISTING JOINT COOPERATION AGREEMENT WITH URBAN HENNEPIN COUNTY AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF NEW JOINT COOPERATION AGREEMENT WITH URBAN HENNEPIN COUNTY FOR THE USE OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK. GRANT FUNDS FOR FUNDING YEARS VIII, IX, AND X WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth and the County of Hennepin have in effect a Joint Cooperation Agreement (County Contract 90463) for the purposes of the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development Community Development Block Grant Program as approved by the City Council under Resolution No. 79-515; and, WHEREAS, the City and the County wish to terminate the agreement and to execute a new Joint Cooperation Agreement (County Contract No. 10400), and, WHEREAS, execution of said Joint Cooperation Agreement is necessary for continued participation in the Federal Community Development Block Grant Program through the Urban Hennepin County; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that it should and hereby does direct the termination of the current Joint Cooperrtion Agreement between the City and the County of Hennepin (County Contract No. 90463) effective September 30, 1981; and, FURTHER, that the Mayor and the City Manager are hereby authorized to execute the new Joint Cooperation Agreement with the County of Hennepin (County Contract No. 10400) to be implemented effective October 1, 1981. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Threinen , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor t ereo ayor Davenport, Councilmembers Hovt Nees, Schneider, Threinen The following voted against or abstained: non Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly —passed and adopted.
