Councilmember Hoyt introduced the following Resolution and

RESOLUTION NO. 81-497
ESTABLISHMENT OF HOME IMPROVEMENT GRANT PROGRAM INCOME LIMITS
AND GRANT LIMITS FOR THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT
PROGRAM FOR YEAR VII
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth believes that the Home Improvement Grant Progran-
provides an effective way of rehabilitating older dwellings and reducing scarc.>
energy resources; and
WHEREAS, Hennepin County and HUD require that each municipality set its own
income limits and grant limits for its CDBG Home Improvement Grant Program
Pach year; and
WHEREAS, the City has permitted a maximum grant of $7,500 eligible homestead
and has accepted applications for grants on a first come, first serve basis
and will continue to do so;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RECOMMDED BY THE PLYMOUTH HOUSING AND REDEVELOPMENT
AUTHORITY that the Plymouth City Council establish the income limit at $12,601)
and the grant amount at $7,500 for qualified homeowners during Year VII CDBG
Home Improvement Grant Program.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by
Councilmenber Neils , and upon vote being taken thereon, the
following vote n favor thereof7. Mayor Davenport, Councilmembers Hoyt. Neils,
Schneider and Threinen
