Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of
the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was he -Td on the
3rd day of August , 19 81. The following members were
present: P1a or Davenport, Councilmembers Hoyt and Schneider
The following members were absent: Councilmembers Neils and Threinen

Councilmember Hoyt introduced the following Resolution and
moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 81-489
RESOLUTION RESCINDING ORIGINAL ACCEPTANCE OF BID AND
REAWARDING CONTRACT
1981 SEAL COAT PROGRAM
WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 81-416, adopted on July 7, 1981, the City Council
awarded the contract for the 1981 Seal Coat Program to Alexandria Asphalt, Inc.;
and
WHEREAS, it has been determined that Alexandria Asphalt, Inc. did not meet the
specifications with regard to the bid bond submitted with the proposal; and
WHEREAS, Alexandria Asphalt, Inc. has been unable to obtain the necessary per-
formance bond required by the contract;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY CCGNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA:
I. That the award of the contract by Resolution No. 81-416 to Alexandria
Asphalt, Inc. for the 1981 Seal Coat Program is hereby rescinded.
2. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter
into the attached contract with Allied Blacktop Co. in the name of the
City of Plymouth for the 1981 Seal Coat Program in the amount of
$167,651.12. Allied Blacktop Co. being the lowest responsible bidder
for the project.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by
Counci lmember Schneider , and upon vote being taken thereon, the

Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
