Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meetina of
the City Council of the City of Plymouth. Minnesota was h*1d on the

Councilmember Hoyt introdiced the following Resolution and
moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 81- 485
AUTHORIZING MAYOR AND CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AMENDED JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT
WITH CITY OF GOLDEN VALLEY FOR
BASSETT CP.EEK FLOOD CONTROL PROJECT NO. 1
WHEREAS, the Bassett Creek Flood Control Commission has ordered the Bassett
Creek Improvement Project No. 1; and
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth is a member of the Bassett Creek Flood Control
Commission; and
WHEREAS, the Bassett Creek Flood Control Commission has designated the City of
Golden Valley to be the contracting agency for said project; and
rWHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes Section 471-59 and Chapters 429 and 475 provide that
two or more governmental units may enter into a cooperative agreement; and
WHEREAS, an agreement was approved by the City Council on December 17, 1979; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to revise this agreement because of a revised plan approved
by the Bassett Creek Flood Control Commission; and
WHEREAS, a copy of the proposed amended agreement has been submitted to this Council
for review;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA that the Mayor and City Manager are authorized to execute the proposed
amended agreement for Bassett Creek Improvement Project No. 1 with the City of
Golden Valley.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Resolution Nos. 79-550 and 79-836 are hereby rescinded.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by
Councilmember Schneider , and upon vote being taken thereon, the
following vo n ravor reo : Mayor Davenport, Councilmembers Hoyt
and Shneider
The following voted against or abstained: none
Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
