Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a t special meetinct of
the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was he d on the
7th day of July , 19 81. The following members were
present: Mayor Davenport, Councilmembers Ho t Neils Schneider and Threinen.
The following mem ers were absent: none
ouncilmember Neils introduced the following Resolution and
moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 81-417
RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRAC'i FOR FUEL PUMPING FACILITY
AND AUTHORIZING TRANSFER OF FUNDS
WHEREAS, pursuant to State Statute specifications were prepared and public notifi-
cation provided for the solicitation of bids for a Fuel Pumping Facility for the
Public Utilities Building, and
WHEREAS, on June 12, 1981 bids were received as shown below:
Westside Equipment Co. $38,142.00
Zahl Equipment Co. 42,625.00
Pump and Meter Service, Inc. 44,157.23
Acton Construction Co. 44,900.00
Northwest Service Station Co. 45,611.00
AND, WHEREAS, following analysis of the proposals with regard to their performance
to the City's specifications, the Director of Public Works has determined that the
bid be awarded to Zahl Equipment Co. based on their bid of $42,625.00;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA that it should and hereby does award the bid for the Fuel Pumping Facility
to Zahl Equipment Co. in the amount of $42,625.00 and further directs the City
Manager to enter into a contract with Zahl Equipment Co. for the purchase and
installation of the equipment.
FURTHER BE IT RESOLVED that $15,000.00 is tranferred from the Equipment fund balance
(502-000-390) to the Bond Construction account (820-820-902-808) to complete the
Public Utilities Building expansion project.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by
Councilmember Hoyt , and upon vote being taken thereon, the
following vo e n favor ereo :Mayor Davenport, Councilmembers Hoyt, Neils,
Schneider and Threinen
