HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1981-416CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a special meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 7th day of Jul, , 19Lj_. The following members were present: Mayor Davenport, Councilmembers Hoyt. Neils. Schneider Threines. The following mem ers were absent: None Councilmember Threinen introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 81-416 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID 1981 SEAL COAT PROGRAM WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the 1981 Seal Coat Program; and WHEREAS, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement: Company Total Bid Alexandria Asphalt, Inc. $156,047.58 Allied Blacktop Co. 167,651.12 Bituminous Roadways, Inc. 169,051.55 Blacktop Roadways, Inc. 170,852.09 Dustcoating, Inc. 172,052.46 Northern Asphalt Construction 180,054.90 AND, WHEREAS, it appears that Alexandria Asphalt, Inc. is the lowest responsible bidder; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: 1. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into the attached contract with Alexandria Asphalt, Inc. in the name of the City of Plymouth for the 1981 Seal Coat Program in the amount of $156,047.58. 2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Schneider , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following vo e n favor ereo : Mayor Davenport, Councilmembers Hoyt, Neils, Schneider and Threinen T97ollowing voted against orabstained: none Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
