The following members were present: Acting Mayor Neils, Councilmembers Schneider & Threinen The following members were absent: Mayor Davenport. Councilmemb r Hover_. ww,►+� Councilmember Schneider introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 81-314 APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS 1981 SEAL COAT WORK WHEREAS, plans and specifications have been prepared by the City Engineer for the improvement of certain streets within the City by the construction of a bituminous seal coat, and said plans and specifications have been presented to the Council for approval; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: 1. Such plans and specifications, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, are hereby approved. 2. The City Clerk shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official paper and in The Construction Bulletin an advertisement for bids upon the making of such improvement under such approved plans and specifications. The advertisement shall be published for three days, shall specify the work to be done, shall state that bids will be received by the Clerk until 10:00 a.m., Friday, June 12, 1981, at which time they will be publicly opened in the Plymouth City Center at 3400 Plymouth Blvd., Plymouth, Minnesota by the City Manager and that no bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the Clerk and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond or certified check payable to the Clerk for five percent (5q) of the amount of such bid. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Threinen , and upon vote being taken thereon, the foliowing voted n favor ere Acting Mayor Neils, Councilmembers Schneider & Threinen The following voted against or abstained: None Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly pass -e -d and adopted.
