HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1981-300CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota, was held on the 18th day of 19 81 The following members were present:_ Acting Mayor Nei s, Councilmembers Scbneider & Threinen ! following members were absent: -Mayor Davenport, Counc lmem er Hoyt •tet �t tt: Councilmember Schneider introduced the following Resolution and moved Its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 81-300 APPROVING SUBIDIVISION VARIANCE FOR CONSOLIDATION/DIVISION OF UNPLATTED LAND FOR THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH (81024) WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth has requested a subdivision variance to permit the division and consolidation on unplatted land for purposes of the acquisition and development of the Zachary Lane Community Park located north of County Road 9 and west of Zachary Lane; and, WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed said request and recommends its approval; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that it should and hereby does approve the request of the City of Ply- mouth for a subdivision variance for consolidation/division of unplatted land for purposes of the acquisition and development of the Zachary Lane Community Park located north of County Road 9 and west of Zachary Lane, and that the City Manager be authorized to make the necessary special assessment corrections based upon City policy when the division/consolidation is approved by Hennepin County: EXISTING LEGAL DESCRIPTION Tract 1: P.I.N. 14-118-22-11-0002 Part of the Northeast 1/4 or the Northeast 1/4 of Section 14, Township 118, Range 22, described as follows: Commencing at the Southeast corner of said Northeast 1/4 of the Northeast 1/4; thence West to Southwest corner thereof; thence North to Northwest corner thereof; thence East to a point 380 feet West from Northeast corner thereof; thence South 450 Feet; thence East 350 feet to East line of Northeast 1/4; thence South 211.25 feet; thence West at right angles 735.7 feet; thence South 269.94 feet; thence Southeasterly to a point in East line of Northeast 1/4 a distance of 1,015 feet South from Northeast corner thereof; thence South to beginning, except road. Tract 2: P.I.N. 14-118-22-11-0003 That part of the Northeast 1/4 of the Northeast 1/4 of Section 14, Township 118, Range 22, Hennepin County, Minnesota, described as follows: Beginning at a point on the East line of said Northeast 1/4 of the Resolution No. 81-300 Page 2 Northeast 1/4 distant 661.25 feet south along said East line from the Northeast corner of said Northeast 1/4 of the North- east 1/4; thence south along said east line 353.76 feet; thence deflect to the right 96 degrees 30 minutes a distance of 740.46 feet; thence North parallel with said East line 269.94 feet to a line drawn perpendicular to said East line from the point of beginning; thence Fast along said perpendicular line 735.70 feet to the point of beginning, subject to roadway now known as Zachary Lane. To be divided and consolidated into two new parcels as follows: PARCEL A AND C: Part of the Northeast 1/4 of the Northeast 1/4 of Section 14, Township 118, Range 22, described as follows: Commencing at the Southeast corner of said Northeast 1/4 of the Northeast 1/4; thence West to Southwest corner thereof; thence North to Northwest corner thereof; thence East to a point 350 feet West from Northeast corner thereof; thence South 450 feet; thence East 350 feet to East line of Northeast 1/4; thence South 211.25 feet; thence West at right angles 569.49 feet; thence South 378.99 feet; thence Southeasterly to a point in East line of Northeast 1/4 a distance of 1,097.58 feet South from Northeast corner thereof; thence South to beginning, except road. PARCEL B AND D: That part of the Northeast Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of Section 14, Township 118, Range 22, Hennepin County, Minnesota, described as follows: Beginning at a point on the east line of said Northeast Quarter of the Northeast Quarter distant 661.25 feet southerly from the northeast corner of said Northeast Quarter of the Northeast Quarter; thence southerly 436.33 feet along said east line; thence northwesterly 572.37 feet, deflecting right 95 degrees 45 minutes; thence northerly 378.99 feet, parallel with said east line; thence easterly 569.49 feet, at right angles, to the point of beginning. Subject to Zachary Lane. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilm hgr Threine, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor t ereof: Acting Mayor Neils Councilmembpre Schneider & Threinen The following voted against or abstained: Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. w�*
