HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1981-279CI7Y OF PLYNDM Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota, was held on the 4th day of May , 19 81. The following members were present"Tcting Mayor Neils, rnuncilmamhars Rr_hneider b Threinen RRR RRR Councilmember Schneider introduced the following Resolution and moved its tion: RESOLUTION NO. 81-279 AUTHORIZING THE VACATION OF A PORTION OF MINNESOTA LANE IN CHRISTIANSEN'S PARKERS LAKE THIRD ADDITION RAR WHEREAS, a petition was received to vacate a portion of Minnesota Lane in Christiansen's Parkers Lake Third Addition; and WHEREAS, a public hearing with respect to said vacation was held on May 4, 1981 in accordance with Minnesota Statutes 412.8FI, as amended; and WHEREAS, a notice of publication of said hearing was published and posted two weeks prior to the meeting of May 4, 1981; and WHEREAS, the Council did hold a public hearing on May 4, 1981 to inform any and all interested parties relevant to the vacation of a portion of Minnesota Lane in Christiansen's Parkers Lake Third Addition; and WHEREAS, it was determined by the City Council that a certain portion of Minnesota Lane is not needed for a public street; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA as follows: 1. That the following portion of Minnesota Lane be vacated as public roadway: All that part of Minnesota Lane adjacent to the Southerly side of Lof 1, Block 2 and the Northerly side of Lots 1 and 4, Block 3, Christiansen's Parkers Lake Third Addition described as follows: Commencing at the Southeast corner of Lot 1, Block 3, Christiansen's Parkers Lake Third Addition, thence Northwesterly along the Northeasterly line of said Lot 1, Block 3, a distance of 75 feet; thence Northwesterly along a tangential curve to the left a distance of 76.96 feet; thence Westerly along the North line of Lots 1 and 4, Block 3 a distance of 146.2 feet; thence Northeasterly to the intersection of the extended West and South line of Lot 1, Block 2; thence Easterly along the South line of Lot 1, Block 2 a distance of 114.35 feet; thence Southeasterly along a tangential curve to the right a distance of 130.63 feet; thence South to the point of beginning and there terminating. That said vacation shall not affect the authority of any person, corporation, or municipality owning or controlling electric or telephone poles and lines, gas and sewer lines, or water pipes, mains and hydrants thereon or thereunder, to continue maintaining the same or to enter upon such way or portion thereof vacated to repair, replace, remove or otherwise attend thereto. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Threingn , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Acting Mayor Neils, Councilmembers Srbnpider R Threinan The following voted against or abstained: None Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
