Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of
the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota, was held on the
6th - day of April , l9 -3L-. The following members -
were present: Mayor Davenport. Councilmembers Hoyt. Schneider & Thr inpn

Councilmember Hoyt introduced the following Resolution and
moved is adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 81-252
POLICY PROVIDING FOR THE ROUTINE PAYMENT
OF PAY ESTIMATES ON CONTRACTS.
WHEREAS, the City Council from time to time enters into contracts with private
contractors for various services; and
WHEREAS, these contracts provide for periodic payments to be made pursuant
to work accomplished under those contracts; and
WHEREAS, it is in the interest of the City and the contractor to insure that
such periodic progress payments are promptly made;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Plymouth, that the Finance Director is authorized to pay periodic payments
due cinstruction contractors as certified by the appropriate city officials
pursuant to the terms of the contract, providing however that such payments
shall not be made without specific Council approval if the payment wou,d:
1) reduce the contract retainage below 5%; 2) exceed the amount authorized
in the contract; or 3) be the final payment.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by
Ma or Davenport , and upon vote being taken thereon, the
following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Davenport, Councilmembers Hoyt.
