HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1981-155CITY OF PLYMOLRI`i Pursuant to dale call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota, was held on t e 2nd day of March 19 81. The following members were present: a'i —y7 r davenport, Councilmembers_Hoyt. Neils. Schneider & Threinen •R• Councilmember Schneider introduced the following Resolution and moved itsadoption: RESOLUTION NO. 81-155 AMENDING RESOLUTION 80-835 CONSTRUCTION COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT WITH HENNEPIN COUNTY VICKSBURG LANE AND COUNTY ROAD 6 TRAFFIC SIGNAL PROJECT NO. 950 WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 80-835 the City Council approved a Construction Cooperative Agrement with Hennepin County for the installation of a traffic -signal at County Road 6 and Vicksburg Lane; and WHEREAS, that agreement provided that the traffic signal was to be installed with contract construction; and WHEREAS, Hennepin County is requesting that the signal be installed with County force account construction in order that there will be further cost savings with regard to the construction; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA that that agreement is modified as follows: 1. That the City concurs with the construction of this project, (No. 8035) by County forces in lieu of the provision of paragraph V of the agree- ment, and, 2. That the City agrees to deposit with the Hennepin County Director of Property Taxation the sum of $40,000.00 within thirty (30) days after start of construction as a partial payment of the City's share of the construction and engineering costs in lieu of the deposit based on contract price stipulated in paragraph VI of the agreement; and, 3. The following shall be considered added to sub paragraph 4 of paragraph VI: The construction cost of the project, if not contracted, shall be the cost of all labor, materials, and equipment rental required to complete the project. The cost of labor shall include the wages paid to complete the project plus a percentage thereof to cover the indirect cost of labor to the County. 4. Except as modified under items 1 through 3, above, the agreement shall remain in full force and effect. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: mayor Davenport, Councilmembers Hoyt. Neils. Schneider & Threinen The following voted against or abstained: None Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
