Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of
the City Council of the City of Plymouth,inMr nesota was e on the
2nd day of March 19 81 . The following members were

Councilmember Neils introduced the following Resolution and
moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 81-142
DENYING REQUEST BY WARREN S. CARLSON FOR RECLASSIFICATION OF LAND USE GUIDING
FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF COUNTY ROAD 9 AND ZACHARY LANE

WHEREAS, Warren S. Carlson has requested approval of reclassification of land
use guiding for approximately 8.7 acres of land in the northeast corner of
County Road 9 and Zachary Lane from LA -1 (low density residential)/Public-Semi
Public to LA -3 (high medium density residential); and,
WHERAS, the Planning Commission considered the request at a duly scheduled public
hearing;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA, that it should and hereby does deny the request by Warren S. Carlson
for reclassification of the land use guiding for approximately 8.7 acres of land
located in the northeast corner of County Road 9 and Zachary Lane from LA-1/Public-
Semi Public to LA -3 because the higher density development would not be consistent
with existing single family residential development in the area and the use of
higher density guiding exclusively for buffering other land uses is not consistent
with the Comprehensive Plan.
FURTHER, there exists in the immediate vicinity ample inventory of land guided
and zoned for the proposed use.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by
j.ou%ilmQ.p�gr H , and upon vote being taken thereon, the
following vote in favor ereo Mayor Davenport, Councilmembers Hoyt,
Neils and Schneider .
