HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1981-137CITY OF 'PLYMOUTH' Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota, wash— eld on the 2nd day of March , 1981 . The following members were present:avqr Davenport, Councilmembers Hot Neils Schneider & Threinen The following members were absent: None Councilmember Schneider introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 81-137 AUTHORIZING THE VACATION OF A PORTION OF QUAKER LANE IN PHEASANT HILLS ADDITION WHEREAS, a petition was received to vacate a portion of Quaker Lane in Pheasant Hills Addition; and WHEREAS, a public hearing with respect to said vacation was held on March 2, 1981 in accordance with Minnesota Statutes 412.851, as amendEd; and WHEREAS, a notice of publication of said hearing was published and posted two weeks prior to the meeting of March 2, 1981; and WHEREAS, -the Council did hold a public hearing on March 2, 1981 to inform any and all interested parties relevant to the vacation of a portion of Quaker Lane in Pheasant Hills Addition; and WHEREAS, it was determined by the City Council that a portion of Quaker Lane in Pheasant Hills Addition is not needed for a public street; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA as follows: 1. That the following be vacated as public roadway: All that part of Quaker Lane lying south and westerly of a line perpendicular to the west right-of-way line of Quaker Lane extended from the southeast corner of Lot 10, Block 1, Pheasant Hills Addition. 2. That said vacation shall not affect the authority of any person, corporation or municipality owning or controlling electric or telephone poles and lines, gas and sewer lines, or water pipes, mains and hydrants thereon or thereunder, to continue maintaining the same or to enter upon such way or portion thereof vacated to repair, replace, remove or otherwise attend thereto. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Neils , and upon vote being taken thereon, the o ow ng voted in favor t ereo : Mavor Davenport Counrilmamhers HU t - Neils Schneider & Thrginen efollowing voted against orabstained: Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed an adopte .
