HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1981-113CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a special meeting of the City Courcil of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was he d on the 17+h day of February , 19 81. The following members were present: Mayor Davenport, CouncilmeMb&s Hoyt, Neils, Schneider & Threinen The following members were absent: None Councilmember Hoyt introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 81-113 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID PROJECT NO. 113 "MIDDLE" PINETREE POND DREDGING WHEREAS, pursuant to an aivertisement for bids for the construction of the Middle Pinetree Pond dredging; AND, WHEREAS, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement: Contractors Total Base Bid Contracting Services, Independent $19,533.00 U. D. Contracting 27,074.00 G. L. Contracting 32,015.00 Frank Kadlec Construction 32,549.60 Wangerin, Inc. 35,290.00 Nodland Associates 38,550.00 Veit & Company 58,000.00 AND, WHEREAS, it appears that Contracting Services, Independent is the lowest responsible bidder; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: 1. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into the attached contract with Contracting Services, Independent of St. Cloud, Minnesota in the name of the City of Plymouth for the construction of Project 113 in the amount of $19,533.00. 2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bides, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. 3. Funding for the project is authorized from the Storm Sewer Improvement Tax District No. 2 (Minnehaha Creek). The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Threinen and upon vote beingg takeenn thhereo tthe following vote to favor ereo : Mayor Davenport, Councilmembers "Hbyi, Neils Schneider & Threinen The following voted against or abstained: Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passe an adopted.
