The following members were present: Mayor Davenport, Counci mem ers_H_o t Neils, Schneider & Threinen The following members were absent, None t*� Councilmember Neils introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 81-106 RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACT FOR DISEASED TREE HAULING WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth plans to continue its program of diseased tree removal during 1981, and WHEREAS, the approved 1981 budget provides for $35,000 for this program, and WHEREAS, on January 16, 1981, bids were received on a cost per cubic yard basis for the removal of diseased trees, and WHEREAS, five contractors submitted proposals ranging from $28.50 to $38.50 per hour for their services, and WHEREAS, Green Acres Tree Service submitted the low bid at 68t per cubic yard, and they have done comparable work in an acceptable manner for the City of Plymouth in the past, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota, that the 1981 contract for diseased tree hauling and stump removal be awarded to Green Acres Tree Service, and further, that the Mayor and City Manager are authorized to sign and enter into an agreement with Green Acres Tree Service.
