HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1981-077CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota, was held on the 2nd day of February 1981 . The following members were present: Mayor Davenport. Councilmembers Hoyt, Neils, Schneider & Threinen The followingme�tfi were ere absent: None Councilmember Neils introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption:. RESOLUTION NO. 81-77 RESOLUTION CALLING FOR A PUBLIC HEARING PURSUANT TO MINNESOTA STATUTES, SECTION 474.01, SUBD. 7b WHEREAS, a proposal has been made to this Council by Banner Engineering Corpora- tion, a Minnesota corporation (the "Company"), to undertake a project (the "Pro- ject") pursuant to the Minnesota Municipal Industrial Development Act, Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 474 (the "Act"); and WHEREAS, the Project consists of the acquisition, renovation, and equipping of an existing manufacturing and warehouse facility in the City for use in the sales, engineering, assembly, and storage of electronic equipment; and WHEREAS, Section 474.01, Subd. 7b of the Act requires this Council to conduct a public hearing on said proposal and to publish notice of said public hearing not less than 15 days nor more than 30 days prior to the date fixed for the hearing; and WHEREAS, a draft copy of a proposed application to the Minnesota Commissioner of Securities, together with all attachments and exhibits thereto, will be placed on file with the City Clerk; BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, AS FOLLOWS: 1. A public hearing shall be conducted by this Council on the proposal to undertake and finance the Project on February 23, 1981 at 7:30 P.M. at the City Hall, at which hearing all parties who appear shall be given an opportunity to express their views with respect to said proposal. 2. Notice setting forth the time and place of hearing, the general nature of the Project and an estimate of the principal amount of bonds or other obliga- tions to be issued to finance the Project shall be published at least once not less than 15 days nor more than 30 days prior to the date fixed for the hearing, in the official newspaper and a newspaper of general circulation of the City. The notice shall state that a draft copy of the proposed application to the Minnesota Commissioner of Securities, together w;th all attachments and exhibits thereto, shall be available for public inspection following the publication of such notice and shall specify the place and times where and when it will be so available. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Ho t , and upon vote being taken thereon, the Toillowing voted in favor thereof: Mayor Davenport, Councilmembers Hoyt, Neils, Schneider & Threinen The following voted against or abstained: None Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
