HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2013-214CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION No. 2013-214 A RESOLUTION DECLARING COST TO BE ASSESSED, AND ORDERING PREPARATION OF PROPOSED ASSESSMENT FOR THE 2013 CUL-DE-SAC EDGE MILL AND OVERLAY PROJECT CITY PROJECT NO. 13023 WHEREAS, estimated costs have been calculated for the 2013 Cul-de-sac Edge Mill and Overlay Project, City Project No 13023 including the following streets: Street From To Urbandale Ct Hamel Rd Hamel Rd Hamel Rd Urbandale Ct Dead-end East Jewel Ln C.R. 24 Cul-de-sac South 31st Ave Ranchview Ln Cul-de-sac East 23r Ave Holly Ln Cul-de-sac West Holly Ln 24t' Ave Cul-de-sac South Holly Ln 19t' Ave Cul-de-sac South Garland Ln 19t' Ave Cul-de-sac South Annapolis Cir Campus Dr Cul-de-sac West 32" Ave Xenium Ln Cul-de-sac East 33r Ave Xenium Ln Cul-de-sac East '12 nd Ave C.R. 61 Cul-de-sac West Sycamore Ln 32 Ave Cul-de-sac South Rosewood Ln 32" Ave Cul-de-sac North Sycamore Ln 34t' Ave Cul-de-sac South Sycamore Ln 37t' Ave Cul-de-sac South 3 8t' Pl 3 8t' Ave Cul-de-sac East Magnolia Ln 42 nd Ave Cul-de-sac North Goldenrod Ln Old Rockford Rd Cul-de-sac North Hemlock Ln Goldenrod Ln Cul-de-sac North 42 nd Ave Goldenrod Ln Cul-de-sac West The estimated cost for such improvement is $326,000, and the expenses incurred or to be incurred in the making of such improvement amount to $49,000 so that the total cost of the improvement will be $375,000. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: I . The portion of the cost of such improvement to be paid by the City of Plymouth is hereby declared to be $110,000 and the portion of the cost to be assessed against benefited property owners is declared to be $265,000. 2. Assessments shall be payable in equal annual installments extending over a period of either 5 years, 10 years, or 15 years the first of the installments to be payable on or before the first Monday in January, 2014, and shall bear the interest rate of 2.44% percent for a 5 year term, 3.37% for a 10 year term or 3.69 for a 15 year term per annum from November 15, 2013. 3. The City Clerk, with the assistance of the City Engineer, shall forthwith calculate the proper amount to be specially assessed for such improvement against every assessable lot, piece or parcel of land within the district affected, without regard to cash valuation, as provided by the law, and shall file a copy of such proposed assessment in the office for public inspection. 4. The Clerk shall upon completion of such proposed assessment notify the City Council thereof. Approved this 9th day of July, 2013.
