HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2013-208CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION No. 2013-208 A RESOLUTION RECEIVING PRELIMINARY ENGINEERING REPORT, ORDERING PREPARATION OF PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS, AND CALLING FOR A PUBLIC HEARING FOR THE CHURCHILL FARMS EDGE MILL AND OVERLAY PROJECT CITY PROJECT NO. 13021 WHEREAS, pursuant to a resolution of the City Council adopted May 28, 2013, a report has been prepared with reference to the streets located South of Medina Road to, and including, 37th Avenue from, and including, Alvarado Lane to, and including, Urbandale Lane; north of County Road 24 to 37th Avenue from, and including, Zircon Lane to 450 feet west of Walnut Grove Lane on 34th Avenue and 180 feet west Walnut Grove Lane on 32nd Avenue but excluding Xanthus Lane south of 32nd Avenue; and 31st Avenue and 31st Place from Zircon Lane to the cul- de-sacs west, and WHEREAS, the proposed improvement includes the edge mill and overlay of streets and all necessary appurtenances; and WHEREAS, said report is being received by the Council on July 9, 2013; and WHEREAS, the report provides information regarding whether the proposed project is necessary, cost effective, and feasible. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: 1. The Council will consider the improvement of such streets in accordance with the report and the assessment of abutting and adjacent property within the designated Churchill Farms Edge Mill and Overlay Project, City Project No. 13021, for all or a portion of the cost of the improvement pursuant to Minnesota Statutes 429.011 to 429.111 (Laws 1953, Chapter 398, as amended) at an estimated total cost of the improvement of $644,305.56. 2. A public hearing shall be held on such proposed improvement on the 27th day of August, 2013, in the Council Chambers of the Plymouth City Center at 3400 Plymouth Boulevard at 7:00 p.m., and the Clerk shall give mailed and published notice of such hearing and improvements as required by law. 3. The Plymouth Engineering Department is designated as engineer for the improvement. They shall prepare plans and specifications for the making of such improvement. Approved this 9th day of July, 2013.
