HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2013-206CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION No. 2013-206 A RESOLUTION APPROVING PAYMENT NO. 2 AND FINAL FOR THE SALT STORAGE FACILITY, CITY PROJECT NO. 11035 WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth as the owner and Greystone Constriction as the contractor, have entered into an agreement for the Salt Storage Facility, City Project No. 11035, said agreement was approved by the City Council on October 23, 2012; and WHEREAS, the engineer and architect have certified acceptance of the work and approval of the final request for payment. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: 1. That the original contract amount was $361,800.00 and the value of the work to date is $340,277.50 and is herewith approved. The project is below the original contract amount by 6%. 2. That the work performed by the contractor for the Salt Storage Facility and certified to the Council by the engineer and architect as acceptable, being the same, is hereby released from the contract except as to the conditions of the performance bond, any and all legal rights of the owner, required guarantees and correction of faulty work after final payment. 3. Request for Payment No. 2 and Final in the amount of $17,013.88 to Greystone Constriction for the Salt Storage Facility, City Project No. 11035, is hereby approved and the Administrative Services Director is hereby authorized and directed to pay the same forthwith. Funding will be from the Facilities Management Fund ($160,000) and from the General Fund surplus ($240,000). Approved this 9th day of July, 2013.
