Item: Interview with City Manager Candidate
1. ACTION REQUESTED:
Interview city manager candidate and determine next steps in the selection process.
2. BACKGROUND:
At the June 11 Special Meeting, the City Council discussed the applications for the city manager
position and determined that one candidate, Administrative Services Director Dave Callister,
would be interviewed. The City Council further determined that they wanted the directors to
interview the candidate so that the City Council would have the benefit of directors' input
before the City Council conducted its interview with Mr. Callister.
Staff has provided the City Council with Mr. Callister's pre-employment assessment that was
conducted at the time of hire, feedback from department directors, and possible interview
questions for use by the City Council.
