RESOLUTION No. 2013-192
A RESOLUTION APPROVING AN AGREEMENT FOR ARTWORK
BETWEEN THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH
AND JAMES ANTHONY BEARDEN
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth put out an RFP for the development of an
original piece of artwork to be displayed at the Plymouth City Hall Lobby, and
WHEREAS, six artists submitted proposals, and
WHEREAS, the City's selection committee has recommended that the piece
entitled "As One" submitted by James Anthony Bearden be selected for this space, and
WHEREAS, a written agreement developed by the City Attorney's office has
been agreed to by James Anthony Bearden,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL for the
CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA that the agreement between the City and James
Anthony Bearden for the development of an original piece of artwork entitled "As One"
is hereby approved and, fiirther, that the Mayor and City Manager are authorized to
approve said agreement, and fiirther, that fiinding for this project will be a combination of
funds from the Recreation Fund and a donation by the Plymouth Arts Council.
