City Manager Selection Process—Review of Applications
and Candidate Ranking
Review applications for the city manager position and discuss the ranking of candidates.
Provide direction regarding next steps in the city manager selection process.
2. BACKGROUND:
At the May 14 Special City Council meeting staff was directed to advertise the city manager position
and rank the applications received. The city received 11 applications, all of which were forwarded
to the City Council electronically. Due to data privacy laws, the names of the candidates may not be
disclosed at this stage in the process. At the June 11 Special City Council meeting, each candidate
will be assigned a letter and will be referred to by that letter rather than by name.
The candidate ranking will be presented at the special meeting.
