HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2004-171CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION NO. 2004-171 RESOLUTION AWARDING BID MEDICINE LAKE WATER QUALITY PONDS PROJECT CITY PROJECT NO. 2037 WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the constriction of Medicine Lake Water Quality Ponds Project and all necessary appurtenances, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement: COMPANY TOTAL BID Veit & Company, Inc. $657,650.00 Eureka Constriction, Inc. $674,431.00 Sunram Constriction, Inc. $676,265.99 F. F. Jedlicki, Inc. $676,385.00 S. R. Weidema, Inc. $708,448.00 Kober Excavating, Inc. $734,239.75 Frattalone Companies, Inc. $771,392.00 Imperial Developers, Inc. $776,630.75 Frontier Constriction Company, Inc. $809,609.38 Visser Scraper Service, LLC $847,425.50 Landwehr Constriction, Inc. $845,802.70 Three River Constriction, Inc. $858,021.27 G. L. Contracting, Inc. $889,737.72 Dennis Fehn Gravel & Excavating, Inc. $1,427,353.00 WHEREAS, it appears that Veit and Company, Inc. of Rogers, MN is the lowest responsible bidder, complying with the minimum specifications; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: 1. The Mayor and City Manager are hereby authorized and directed to enter into the contract with Veit & Company, Inc. of Rogers, MN in the name of the City of Plymouth for the constriction of Medicine Lake Water Quality Ponds according to the plans and specifications therefore approved by the City Council and on file in the office of the City Engineer in the amount of $657,650. 2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. 3. Funding will be from the Water Resources Fund in the amount of $825,000. Adopted by the City Council on April 27, 2004.
