RESOLUTION AWARDING BID
PROCUREMENT OF GREEN SAND FILTER MEDIA
WATER TREATMENT PLANT RENOVATIONS PROJECT
CITY PROJECT NO. 2032
WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the Procurement of Green Sand Filter
Media for the Water Treatment Plant Renovations Project and all necessary appurtenances, bids
were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the following bids were received
complying with the advertisement:

$340,250
WHEREAS, it appears that Tonka Equipment Company of Plymouth, MN is the lowest
responsible bidder, complying with the minimum specifications.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA:
1. The Mayor and City Manager are hereby authorized and directed to enter into the
contract with Tonka Equipment Company of Plymouth, MN in the name of the City of
Plymouth for Procurement of Green Sand Filter Media for the Water Treatment Plant
Renovations Project according to the plans and specifications therefore approved by the
City Council and on file in the office of the City Engineer in the amount of $340,250.
2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the
deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the
next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed.
3. Funding for this project in the amount of $340,250 is from the Water Fund (501).
