HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2004-141CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION NO. 2004-141 AWARDING BID TRUNK WATERMAIN EXTENSIONS CITY PROJECT NO. 3124 WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the constriction of Think Watermain Extensions Project and all necessary appurtenances, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement: COMPANY TOTAL BID G.M. Contracting, Inc. $398,512.19 Earth Burners, Inc. 554,090.00 MinnComm Utility Construction, Inc. 556,394.10 F.F. Jedlicki, Inc. 565,616.00 Frontier Pipeline 717,371.00 WHEREAS, it appears that G.M. Contracting, Inc. of Lake Crystal, MN is the lowest responsible bidder, complying with the minimum specifications; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: The Mayor and City Manager are hereby authorized and directed to enter into the contract with G.M. Contracting, Inc. of Lake Crystal, MN in the name of the City of Plymouth for the constriction of Trunk Watermain Extensions according to the plans and specifications therefore approved by the City Council and on file in the office of the City Engineer in the amount of $398,512.19. 2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. 3. Funding will be from the Utility Trunk Fund in the amount of $500,000. Adopted by the City Council on April 13, 2004.
