HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2004-140CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION NO. 2004-140 AWARDING BID PUMP HOUSES FOR WELL NO. 14 AND WELL NO. 15 CITY PROJECT NO. 3132 WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for Pump Houses for Well No. 14 and Well No. 15 Project and all necessary appurtenances, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement: COMPANY TOTAL BID Thor Constriction, Inc. $918,758.75 EnComm Midwest, Inc. 928,984.00 Magney Constriction, Inc. 972, 846.00 Rice Lake Constriction Group 974,830.00 WHEREAS, it appears that Thor Constriction, Inc. of Fridley, MN is the lowest responsible bidder, complying with the minimum specifications; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: 1. The Mayor and City Manager are hereby authorized and directed to enter into the contract with Thor Constriction, Inc. of Fridley, MN in the name of the City of Plymouth for Pump Houses for Well No. 14 and Well No. 15 according to the plans and specifications therefore approved by the City Council and on file in the office of the City Engineer in the amount of $918,758.75. 2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. 3. Funding will be from the Utility Trunk Fund in the amount of $1,150,000.00 Adopted by the City Council on April 13, 2004.
