HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2004-130CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION NO. 2004-130 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PUBLIC SAFETY/ CITY HALL EXPANSION REMODEL PROJECT TO PROCEED INTO THE DESIGN DEVELOPMENT PHASE AND AUTHORIZING STAFF TO ARRANGE FOR A PUBLIC HEARING ON THE SALE OF BONDS FOR THE PROJECT WHEREAS, the need for additional secured parking for the police and fire departments, as well as additional office and storage space was identified, and a Public Safety/City Hall Expansion Remodel Design Team has been working on the project with the BKV Architectural Firm, and Bill Wolters, acting as Owner's Representative; and WHEREAS, this group has worked from the rough draft stages through the Schematic Design phase of the project; and WHEREAS, the information on the project has been presented to and approved by the City Council; and WHEREAS, the City currently has $3,545,000 on hand for the project, which has a projected budget of $10,850,000; and WHEREAS, the City would need to sell bonds to provide the remainder of the money necessary for the project; and WHEREAS, the sale of bonds requires a public hearing on the issue, NOW, THEREFORE BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, that the City Council adopt the Resolution authorizing the Public Safety/City Hall expansion remodel project proceed into the design development phase and authorizing staff to arrange for a public hearing on the sale of the bonds for the project. Adopted by the City Council on March 23, 2004.
