RESOLUTION NO. 2004-126
AUTHORIZE THE PURCHASE OF FIVE NEW CURRENT MODEL
REPLACEMENT POLICE SQUAD CARS AND ONE NEW ADDITIONAL SQUAD CAR
WHEREAS, the City Council has approved in the 2004 budget the purchase of new replacement squad cars and
the purchase of one additional new squad car; and
WHEREAS, the City may purchase off State contracts; and
WHEREAS, Superior Ford has a contract with the State (contract #432130)
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, to authorize the purchase of five new replacement pursuit squad cars and one
new additional squad car off the State contract through Superior Ford. The purchase price is $20,732 per
vehicle, one service manual for $80 and one electrical manual for $65 will also be purchased. There will be no
sales tax since "Clearly Marked Emergency Vehicles" are not subject to state sales tax and the total amount is
$124,537.
FURTHER BE IT RESOLVED, that the fiinding will be from accounts:
