RESOLUTION NO. 2004-101
APPROVING MODIFICATIONS TO THE
SHINGLE CREEK WATERSHED MANAGEMENT COMMISSION JOINT
POWERS AGREMENT
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth is a member of the Shingle Creek Watershed
Management Commission (SCWMC) which is a Joint Powers Watershed Management
Organization and includes the northeast portion of Plymouth, including major water bodies
such as Bass Lake, Schmidt Lake, Pomerleau Lake, and Pike Lake; and
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth has been a member of the SCWMC since it was formed
in 1984; and
WHEREAS, amendment to the SCWMC Joint Powers Agreement that provides the member
cities greater control over the annual general fund assessed by the Commission has been
submitted to the City of Plymouth; and
WHEREAS, all the member cities must approved the amended Joint Powers Agreement for
it to take effect;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: That the amended SCWMC Joint Powers
Agreement is approved and the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized to sign the agreement.
