RESOLUTION NO. 2004-086
APPROVAL OF PURCHASE FOR TWO NEW COMPLETED
TANDEM AXLE DUMP TRUCKS
WHEREAS, the City Council has approved in the 2004 budget the purchase of two new complete
tandem axle replacement dump tricks; and
WHEREAS, one of the tricks to be replaced is a single axle trick which the Council approved
upgrading to a tandem axle for increased efficiencies; and
WHEREAS, the City may purchase off State contracts; and
WHEREAS, Boyer Sterling Tricks and J Craft Inc. have contracts with the State; and
WHEREAS, The contract #'s are 432052 and 430812
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, TO PURCHASE TWO TANDEM AXLE DUMP TRUCK
CHASSIS OFF THE STATE CONTRACT THROUGH BOYER STERLING TRUCKS AND
THE OTHER RELATED TRUCK EQUIPMENT FROM J CRAFT INC. INCLUDING TAX
TO THE STATE OF MINNESOTA
TO: BOYER STERLING TRUCKS,
TO: J CRAFT INC.,
STATE SALES TAX FOR CHASSIS
TOTAL
2 @ $77,772.00 = $155,544.00
2 @ $66,055.56 = $132,111.12
2 @ $ 5,088.68 = $ 10,177.36
$297,832.48
FURTHER, that the funding will be from 602-1760-8004 for $297,832.48 and that $23,000.00 of
surplus funds from 2003 will be paid back to the equipment replacement fiend.
Adopted by the City Council on February 24, 2004.
