HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2004-061CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION 2004-061 APPROVING A SITE PLAN AMENDMENT TO ALLOW INSTALLATION OF TWO 6,000 -GALLON VERTICAL BULK STORAGE TANKS FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 625 XENl[_ M LANE NORTH (2003136) WHEREAS, Olympic Steel has requested a site plan amendment for two 6,000 -gallon vertical bulls storage tanks, one tank with oxygen and the other with nitrogen on property legally described as follows: That part of Lot 2, Block 1, and that part of Outlot B, all in Carlson Companies Addition, Hennepin County, Minnesota, according to the recorded plat thereof described as follows: Commencing at a point on the East line of Lot 2, Block 1, Carlson Companies Addition distant 1,654.50 feet South 0 degrees, 21 minutes, 38 seconds East from the Northeast corner of Lot 1, Block 1, Carlson Companies Addition (said point being hereinafter referred to as point "A"), thence South 89 degrees, 38 minutes, 22 seconds West 750.00 feet to a point (said point being hereinafter designated as point "B") thence South 0 degrees, 21 minutes, 38 seconds East to the Southerly line of said Lot 2, thence Easterly along said Southerly line to the Southeast corner of said Lot 2, thence Northerly along the Easterly line of said Lot 2 to the point of beginning; Together with a non-exclusive easement for lead track, spur track and switches over and across that part of Outlot B, Carlson Companies Addition, Hennepin County, Minnesota, lying North of the line connecting point "A" and point "B" hereinabove referred to. WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed said request at a duly called public meeting and recommends approval. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that it should and hereby does approve the request by Olympic Steel for a site plan amendment, subject to the following conditions: Resolution 2004-061 (2003136) Page 2 of 2 1. The site plan amendment is for two 6,000 -gallon vertical bulls storage tanks as shown on plans received on December 17, 2003, and revised plans received on January 13, 2004, except as amended by this resolution. 2. Separate tank permit(s) shall be obtained from the Building Division prior to beginning installation of the nitrogen and oxygen tanks and systems. 3. The tank, piping and process system shall be installed and protected to fire code requirements. 4. The applicant shall install fire lane signage in approved locations per fire code requirements. 5. Any subsequent phases or expansions are subject to required reviews and approvals per Ordinance provisions. 6. This approval shall expire one year after the date of approval, unless the property owner or applicant has substantially started constriction of the project, or unless the landowner or applicant has received prior approval from the City to extend the expiration date for up to one additional year, as regulated under Section 21045.09 of the Zoning Ordinance.
