HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2004-051CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION NO. 2004-051 RESOLUTION AWARDING BID WELL NO. 15 DRILLING PROJECT CITY PROJECT NO. 2039 WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for Well No. 15 Drilling and all necessary appurtenances, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement: CnNmPANV TnTAT urn Mark J. Traut Well Drilling, Inc. $183,250.00 E.H. Renner & Sons, Inc. 183,700.00 Bergerson-Caswell, Inc. 199,575.00 Keys Well Drilling 205,850.00 WHEREAS, the low bid received is $12,750 or 6.5% les then the engineer's estimate of $196,000; and WHEREAS, it appears that Mark J. Traut Well Drilling, Inc. of Waite Park, MN is the lowest responsible bidder, complying with the minimum specifications; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: 1. The Mayor and City Manager are hereby authorized and directed to enter into the contract with Mark J. Traut Well Drilling, Inc. of Waite Park, MN in the name of the City of Plymouth for Well No. 15 Drilling Project according to the plans and specifications therefore approved by the City Council and on file in the office of the City Engineer in the amount of $183,250. 2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. Adopted by the City Council on January 27, 2004.
