RESOLUTION NO. 2004-050
AUTHORIZING "NO PARKING" RESTRICTION ON SOUTH SIDE OF 38TH
AVENUE AT QUAKER LANE
WHEREAS, there is a concern for the safety of the children that currently pass between parked
cars to cross 38t1' Avenue when walking to and from the Pilgrim Lane Elementary School
property; and
WHEREAS, by restricting parking on the south side of 38th Avenue at Quaker Lane safety will
be improved at this location for pedestrians to cross the roadway and better visibility is provided
for motorists on 38th Avenue to see children crossing at that location; and
WHEREAS, the parking restriction will eliminate approximately two on -street parking spaces
having minimal impact on the current parking available in the area;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: That it authorizes the installation of "No Parking" signs for
approximately 50 feet on the south side of 38th Avenue at Quaker Lane.
