RESOLUTION NO. 2004-026
RECEIVING PRE -DESIGN REPORT, DESIGNATE ENGINEER AND
ORDER PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR
LANCASTER LANE LIFT STATION UPGRADES
CITY PROJECT NO. 3114
WHEREAS, City staff has previously evaluated and prioritized the necessary
improvements to the City's 13 sanitary sewer lift stations; and
WHEREAS, the City Council at their November 26, 2002 meeting approved a 4% sewer
rate increase to help fiind the upgrade of the deficiencies in the 13 lift stations over an
eight year period; and
WHEREAS, the highest priority for lift station upgrading was identified as the Lancaster
Lane Lift Station; and
WHEREAS, a pre -design report has been prepared by the City's consulting engineer,
Howard R. Green Company, with respect to Lancaster Lane Lift Station Upgrade
Improvements; and
WHEREAS, said report is being received by the Council on January 13, 2004;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA:
1. Such improvement is hereby ordered;
2. Howard R. Green Company is designated as the engineer to prepare
plans and specifications for the Lancaster Lane Lift Station Upgrade
Improvements and the Mayor and City Manager are authorized to sign
the Engineering Services Agreement;
3. Funding in the amount of $1,800,000 will be provided from the Sewer
Operating Fund.
Adopted by the City Council on January 13, 2004.
