RESOLUTION NO. 2005-471
AUTHORIZING MAYOR AND CITY MANAGER TO SIGN AN AGREEMENT TO
AMEND THE ACTIVE EMPLOYEE VEBA TRUST PLAN AND TO ADD A POST-
RETIREMENT HEALTH PLAN WITH SOUTHWEST WEST
CENTRAL SERVICE COOPERATIVE
WHEREAS, the City Manager has determined that the City and its retiring employees would
benefit from a post-retirement health plan; and
WHEREAS, certain features of the active employee plan require modification; and
WHEREAS, Southwest West Central Service Cooperative requires a signed agreement to
reflect our arrangement; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, THAT THE Mayor and City Manager are authorized
to sign the Minnesota Service Cooperatives' VEBA Plan providing Plymouth with the Southwest
West Central Service Cooperative's VEBA plan and its associated Benefits Trust Agreement.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, THAT THE Mayor and City Manager are authorized to
renew this agreement in successive years so long as the approved budget includes fiinds to pay for
any agreement expenses.
